Forsyth County is about to get its first Whole Foods Market. The store, under construction at 3135 Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Cumming, will anchor the new Forsyth Town Center development at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Peachtree Parkway.
The roughly 35,500-square-foot grocery is being developed by Atlanta-based Fuqua Development as part of a larger mixed-use project that includes restaurants, retail, a hotel, and other commercial uses. The site sits directly across from The Collection at Forsyth and will serve South Forsyth along with nearby Johns Creek and Suwanee. The nearest existing Whole Foods is about 10 miles south at Avalon in Alpharetta.
Construction has progressed steadily. The grocery shell has passed final building inspection, sign permits have been issued, and job listings for the location have gone live. Developer Fuqua has indicated a February 2027 opening, though Whole Foods itself has not confirmed a specific date or timeline.
The project reflects continued growth along one of north metro Atlanta’s busiest corridors. Once open, the store will give local shoppers a closer option for organic and specialty groceries while helping turn the broader Forsyth Town Center into a new retail and dining destination.
