The AHR Expo 2027, North America’s leading trade show for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) industry, is scheduled for January 25–27, 2027, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
The event brings together roughly 1,900 exhibitors and more than 50,000 attendees, including engineers, contractors, manufacturers, distributors, facility managers, and design professionals. Exhibitors will showcase products and technologies across heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation, plumbing, indoor air quality, building automation, sustainable solutions, software, and tools. The show is co-located with the ASHRAE Winter Conference, giving attendees additional educational and technical sessions.
Innovation Awards winners for 2027 have already been announced across categories such as building automation, cooling, heating, refrigeration, indoor air quality, and sustainable solutions. These awards highlight new products and technologies that will be on display at the show. Registration is open, with free advance badge registration available through January 23, 2027.
ASHRAE Winter Conference
The AHR Expo runs concurrently with the 2027 ASHRAE Winter Conference, held January 23–27, 2027, in Chicago. The conference is headquartered at the Marriott Marquis Chicago, with sessions also taking place at McCormick Place. A paid ASHRAE conference registration includes access to the AHR Expo.
The Winter Conference features more than 100 technical sessions across multiple tracks, covering topics that include HVAC&R fundamentals, refrigeration, equipment, building performance, decarbonization, artificial intelligence applications, and thermal network systems. Additional offerings include ASHRAE Learning Institute courses (many eligible for professional development hours), committee meetings, technical tours, and networking events. Early-bird registration pricing was available through late October 2026, with advance and on-site rates thereafter.
Together, the Expo and the Winter Conference give HVACR professionals a concentrated opportunity to review new equipment, attend technical sessions, and connect with peers.
For companies and professionals focused on commercial HVAC and refrigeration, AHR Expo remains one of the most practical places to evaluate equipment, compare systems, and stay current on efficiency, refrigerant, and controls trends. Large commercial and industrial projects—whether office campuses, warehouses, restaurants, or cold-storage applications—depend on reliable temperature control and properly engineered refrigeration systems. Alpyne Strategy’s long heritage in refrigeration and keeping things cold gives us a grounded perspective on the systems and components that actually perform under real operating conditions.
As the industry gathers in Chicago in January, we continue to track the technologies and approaches that matter for commercial clients. If you’re planning projects that involve HVAC, refrigeration, or cold-storage requirements, or if you want practical insight on what the latest equipment and trends mean for your work, contact Alpyne Strategy. Our combination of technical refrigeration experience and local market awareness can help you evaluate options and stay ahead.
