Paramount Tower Hits Midpoint as Nashville’s Future Tallest Building Climbs

Nashville’s downtown skyline is quietly gaining a new high point. The 60-story Paramount tower at 1010 Church Street, developed by Tony Giarratana’s Giarratana LLC, has reached roughly half its planned 750-foot height this fall—marking a clear construction milestone for what will become the tallest building in both the city and the state of Tennessee.

Once complete, the tower will rise more than 100 feet above the current record holder, the 617-foot AT&T Building (often called the Batman Building). Designed by Chicago-based Goettsch Partners, Paramount uses a faceted glass façade whose angled surfaces catch and scatter light in multiple directions. The design culminates in a distinctive crown at the top floors that will be illuminated at night, giving the building a signature presence on the skyline.

The project is primarily residential, pairing hundreds of apartments with about 140 condominiums for sale, plus shared amenities, parking, and a substantial addition to the neighboring Downtown YMCA. Construction began in September 2025 and remains on track—slightly ahead of the original schedule—with completion targeted for spring 2028. Pre-sales of the condominium residences have been steady and are now approaching the halfway mark, indicating solid buyer interest in the upper floors that will offer expansive city views.

For Giarratana, who has already delivered several high-rises along Church Street, Paramount is a long-planned statement building. As the structure continues to climb above surrounding mid-rises, it is beginning to reshape the western edge of downtown and add a new vertical landmark to Music City’s evolving skyline.
