REFRIGERANT LEAK DETECTOR RETURN POLICY

1. GENERAL RETURN CONDITIONS
1.1 Return Window
- Returns are accepted within 15 days from the date of delivery
- No returns accepted after 15 days under any circumstances except for warranty claims
1.2 Eligibility Requirements
ALL of the following conditions must be met for a return to be considered:
- Product must be in original, unopened packaging with all seals intact
- Original receipt or proof of purchase must be provided
- Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained prior to shipping
- Product serial number must match our sales records
- All original accessories, manuals, cables, and packaging materials must be included
2. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following are NOT eligible for return under any circumstances:
- Opened products (broken seal on packaging)
- Products showing any signs of use, testing, or calibration
- Products with missing or altered serial numbers
- Products purchased more than 15 days ago
- Special orders or custom-configured units
- Products damaged due to customer mishandling
- Products exposed to refrigerants or chemicals
- Clearance or “Final Sale” items
3. DEFECTIVE PRODUCT RETURNS
3.1 Warranty Coverage
- Defective products are covered under manufacturer’s warranty
- Customer must contact us within 48 hours of discovering the defect
- Detailed description and photographic evidence of defect required
3.2 Defective Product Process
- Contact customer service with proof of defect
- Obtain RMA number and prepaid shipping label (provided for verified defects only)
- Product will be tested by our technical team
- If defect is confirmed: Full refund or replacement at our discretion
- If no defect is found: Product returned to customer at customer’s expense plus $35 diagnostic fee
3.3 What Constitutes a Defect
- Manufacturing defects present upon arrival
- Electronic malfunctions not caused by user error
- Sensor failures within normal operating parameters
3.4 What Does NOT Constitute a Defect
- Damage from drops, impacts, or mishandling
- Exposure to extreme temperatures outside specifications
- Water or chemical damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Battery issues after first use
- Calibration drift (considered normal maintenance)
4. RETURN PROCESS
4.1 Initiating a Return
- Email marketing@alpynestrategy.com with order number and reason for return
- Wait for approval and RMA number (1-2 business days)
- Ship product with RMA number clearly marked on outside of package
- Use trackable shipping method (customer responsibility for non-defective returns)
4.2 Return Shipping Costs
- Non-defective returns: Customer pays all shipping costs both ways
- Confirmed defective products: We provide prepaid return label
- Unconfirmed defects: Customer pays return shipping plus diagnostic fee
5. REFUND TERMS
5.1 Refund Processing
- Refunds processed within 10-14 business days after receipt and inspection
- Original payment method will be credited
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
5.2 Restocking Fees
- Unopened products (approved returns): 25% restocking fee
- Defective products (confirmed): No restocking fee
- Warranty replacements: No fees
5.3 Deductions from Refund
We reserve the right to deduct from any refund:
- Missing accessories or documentation: Up to 50% of product value
- Damaged packaging: 15% of product value
- Missing original packaging: 30% of product value
6. EXCHANGES
- Exchanges only available for defective products
- No exchanges for different models or upgrades
- Customer must purchase new unit separately if different model desired
7. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
7.1 Business/Bulk Purchases
- Orders over 10 units subject to separate commercial return policy
- No returns on bulk orders unless defective
7.2 International Orders
- No returns accepted on international shipments
- Warranty claims handled through local distributors where applicable
8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
- All return decisions by our quality control team are final
- Disputes must be submitted in writing within 5 days of decision
- Fraudulent return attempts will result in permanent ban from future purchases
9. POLICY MODIFICATIONS
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse any return that does not meet these requirements
- Modify this policy without notice for future purchases
- Make exceptions at our sole discretion
