Video production faqs

Frequently asked questions

How much does video production cost in Nashville?
Every project is scoped differently, so pricing depends on the type of video, shoot days, crew size, and post-production needs. As a general range, a single-day corporate video shoot with editing starts around $2,500–$7,500. Multi-day productions, motion graphics, and full campaign packages scale from there. We don’t do mystery pricing, after a 20-minute consultation, you’ll have a clear scope and a number you can plan around. We will then follow-up with you with a custom quote fit for your specific needs.

How long does it take to produce a video?
For a standard single-day shoot with a 2–3 minute final deliverable, expect 2–4 weeks from shoot day to final delivery. Rush timelines are available and can be sooner based on your specific needs and requests. Our team is very flexible and have very fast turn over, if your project requires this urgency. Larger projects, brand documentaries, multi-location shoots, series content, etc, are typically scoped at 4–8 weeks. We’ll give you a production calendar at the start of every project so there are no surprises.

Do you travel outside of Nashville?
Yes. We are a global media production house with offices in Nashville and ready to serve your specific request under the direction of our producer William D. Ortlieb. We’ve covered events in Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, and internationally in Germany, Italy, Dubai, and Istanbul. Travel costs are scoped per project and given our availability included into your quote upfront.

What types of video does Alpyne produce?
Corporate video, testimonials and case study films, trade show coverage, podcast production, live streaming, social media video, teleprompter services, product launch videos, executive interviews, training and onboarding video, real estate walkthroughs, and commercial production. If it needs a camera, a crew, and a strategy behind it, we do it. We work with stakeholders from a broad range of industries, and we want to ensure our vision, passion, and dedication the media production industry is reflected in our planning, production, and editing phases of our engagement. You can either work with us on a project-by-project basis or explore our retainers, which allows you to buy footage time and consistent delivery of your video production, if your operations are looking to scaling their content production systems.

Do I need a script before we shoot?
No. All of our services include script writing. We do not place the burden on your having to deliver the right message. That is our job. We offer full creative development including discovery sessions, scriptwriting, and storyboarding when you work with us. Other companies have this as an ad hoc sure, but we understand to suite the needs of our partners, we need clear, understandable, and no hidden fees to make your video production a success. What’s quoted is what you’ll pay in the end. We give you the spotlight at Alpyne as a dedicated partner in video and storytelling for your brand.

What does your production crew include?
Every production is staffed based on the scope. Some companies need a one crew member on site; others need multi-crew members. A standard shoot includes a Director of Photography, camera operator, audio engineer, and on-set producer. To make costs efficient, the producer on sight serves as a camera operator as well. The producer is the stakeholder reportable to you who you can hold accountability towards. Larger productions add lighting technicians, grip, makeup and wardrobe, teleprompter operator, and a second or third camera operator. We build the crew your project actually needs.

What camera equipment do you use?
We shoot on cinema-grade cameras including the Sony FX9, FX6, FX3, Sony A7S III, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K Pro, and Canon C300 MkIII. We have a full range of lighting systems and stands to ensure a successful video. Additionally, we use the highest end audio production gear including Sennheiser, Shure, and Rode. All productions include professional LED and tungsten lighting, broadcast audio kits, and gimbal stabilization. Aerial footage is available via FAA-licensed drone operators.

Can you handle same-day delivery for event content?
Yes. Rush delivery is typically requested by trade shows, conventions, and live events where we can offer a same-day social selects package. Our team edits on-site or remotely with a fast-turn workflow so you have clips ready to post while the event is still happening. Full edited deliverables follow within the agreed post-production window.

Do you offer on-camera coaching for executives who aren’t comfortable on camera?
Yes. These services are included in every video production package, and it’s one of the most valuable things we do. Our producers run a relaxed pre-interview process designed to get your executives talking naturally before the camera ever rolls. We also provide teleprompter services for scripted segments and confidence monitors for key message delivery. Again, your success is our success, and the teleprompter services are typically included on set to minimize the amount of re shoots. We value your time and your brand’s success, and want to serve as a strategic partner who gives you the production resources necessary to plan, produce, and scale.

How many deliverables do I get from one shoot?
We build every production to maximize your content output. We deliver raw and edited files. A single shoot day will typically generate 10-15 social media reels, a 60-second video, a 30-second social media promo, optimized for vertical formats, and captioned versions for each platform (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram,  etc.) We plan for all formats before we shoot and have full control over what type of formats you need for your company.

What’s the difference between Alpyne and a freelance videographer?
We utilize industry best practices, equipment, and communication strategies to ensure your brand’s success. Every project has a dedicated producer managing your shoot from pre-production through final delivery. You get director-level creative, coordinated crew, and a finished product that’s ready to deploy. We care about the impact we place on your brand and the community. Our company has access to the resources, education, and dedication necessary to make your production a success.

Do you work with HVAC, construction, and home services companies?
Yes, the HVAC, construction, and home services are one of our core industries. Our team has an HVAC compliance specialist and have produced video content for HVAC brands, contractors, podcasts, and designers. We understand the communication challenges that go along with technical products and industries. We understand the industry, the buyer, and the message, making back and forth communication with your team members more efficient, saving time, money, and resources.

What happens after I fill out the contact form?
A member of our production team will reach out within one business day to schedule a 20-minute consultation. We’ll talk through your goals, timeline, and budget, and you’ll leave the call with a clear picture of what your project looks like and what it costs. No pressure. No obligation.
