Have you heard the news? Trader Joe’s is coming to Murfreesboro, TN—no later than May 2, 2025, according to Murfreesboro.com. Numerous media sources including WKRN News 2, The Tennessean, the DNJ, and Progressive Grocer have reported on this.

Trader Joe’s Locations In Tennessee

Currently, there are a total of 5 Trader Joe’s in Tennessee, including in the following cities:

• Chattanooga
• Franklin
• Germantown
• Knoxville
• Nashville

3 out of the 5, including Franklin, Germantown, and the Nashville location, are in Middle Tennessee. The Murfreesboro location has reportedly been a “decade in the making” and will be the state’s 6th location. Yes, that’s right: No longer have to drive to Franklin or Nashville to experience this grocery delight.

Trader Joe’s Murfreesboro Location

You may wonder, where will the Trader Joe’s in Murfreesboro exactly be located? West, East, Central of the City? While the exact specifics were left unknown for quite some time, multiple sources have confirmed that the Murfreesboro store will be located in a new hub called “The Exchange,” which is one of Murfreesboro’s latest commercial and residential developments.

(You may recall back in April that an article titled “Trader Joe’s Expanding in Tennessee” by Progressive Grocer mentioned that the “specialty grocers’ new store will be located remains a mystery.” This is no longer the case!)

Will it be built on Medical Center Parkway?

In July 2024, it has been confirmed by the DNJ that the Trader Joe’s will be located at Medical Center Pkwy/Robert Rose Dr area. The official address is 2305 Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129! You can drive by and see it with the signage up!

As you may recall, there were rumors for months that it was going to be built on Medical Center Parkway. There are already many new construction projects on their way in and around Medical Center Parkway, including Clari Park.
