What is Clari Park in Murfreesboro TN?

Whether you have seen the construction firsthand near the Avenue or heard talk of it within your friend group, you have definitely asked the key question: “What is Clari Park in Murfreesboro, TN and what is it all about?” In this article, we will delve into all the odds and ends of this new mixed-use development, including the residential and commercial features to soon be released.

Background

First off, Clari Park is a new and upcoming mixed-use commercial and residential development. It will be constructed on the northeast side of Medical Center Parkway near Interstate 24 and across from the Avenue, a local shopping center. Hines, a real estate and development company, introduced the creation of Clari Park in the fall of 2020. The project was eventually approved by the Murfreesboro City Council in 2021 and is currently still under construction as of 2023. This new community center will span 78 acres and host numerous attractions for both commercial and residential use in the years to come.

Commercial Developments

Of the total acreage, 30 acres will be dedicated to constructing several exciting and fresh new restaurants and businesses within Clari Park. Some of these new upcoming restaurants include CAVA, Firebird’s Wood Fire Grill, Drake’s, and Whataburger. This development will also include a brand new Main Event entertainment center, which will feature bowling, laser tag, arcade games, gravity ropes, billiards, casual dining, and private party rooms for any and all occasions. These attractions seek to draw in several corporate offices as well. In today’s modern work environment, a balance between work and play is essential to better increase both individual productivity and group synergy. Clari Park’s structural design allots for an additional 12 acres which are openly available for corporate offices seeking to foster such a unique work environment.

Residential Developments

As a mixed-use development, Clari Park’s residential accommodations will include 300 apartments, 38 single family homes, and approximately 282 townhomes to bolster the local village. Apart from their state-of-the-art designs, these housing units will include some of the most alluring amenities that Murfreesboro has to offer. First off, interior amenities will include: (1) a health and fitness studio, (2) a two-story resident clubroom with a kitchen, (3) a game room, (4) co-working areas, (5) a virtual golf-simulator, (6) video lounges, and (7) several resident gathering areas. And if that’s not enough to keep you and your friends busy, there will be even more exterior amenities including: (8) a lakeside resort pool, (9) a zen garden with a yoga lawn, (10) fire pits,  (11) reading nooks, (12) grill areas, (13) a fenced dog park, and (14) a grand lawn designed to host outdoor game nights and concerts for residents. This plethora of amenities will be complemented by an interconnected 10-foot-wide multi-use path, which will connect all of these housing units to the nearby restaurants, stores and offices mentioned previously. Suffice to say, Clari Park is well on its way to providing one of the best communal living experiences within the city of Murfreesboro.

Roadway Expansions

As many of our readers may already know, traffic in Murfreesboro has increased dramatically in the past several years. Others are concerned how increased traffic off of Medical Center Parkway will affect the pre-existing rush hour and peak shopping times in this area of the city. Working in conjunction with the Murfreesboro government, Clari Park seeks to alleviate the situation in two ways. Firstly, the overall layout of Clari Park seeks to emphasis a pedestrian environment both in and around the development. This will also assist local foot traffic in the Avenue, the nearby shopping center across the street. Secondly, Clari Park developers will aid the city street widening plans by funding a third lane on the northeast side of the parkway. This third lane will further decrease traffic in this area as well as provide better access to and from Interstate 24 for local commuters. In these two ways, traffic from Clari Park will be mitigated to a more manageable level, while providing residents and visitors easy access to its various attractions.
