In fact, the Index report describes that “housing activity as slowed as buyers contend with higher housing costs.” The number of homes for sale are increasing, as well as the time on the market. Out of the Fall 2022 top 20 emerging housing markets, Midwestern markets, like Nashville-Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin, TN, were seeing the fastest movement (~under 33 days).
